Skin products for me are minimal but super important. I tend to go simple yet effective with these items. I wanted to feature the most important to me as this is the most requested item I have had emails about. So here goes!
Soap- Dove
Plain and simple, this moisturizing (1/4) soap has been part of my arsenal since I was in kindergarten. I had a skin condition (sever dry patches) and the MD told my mother to try this brand. My skin responded immediately and I barely use another brand (only in dire cases- like say when I get caught in an airport). I have my family addicted as well. We all use the exfoliating type and love it. Find it here or here.
Lotion- The Body Shop; Vitamin E Moisture Lotion SPF 15
I like that I can use this lotion on my face and body as needed. It is also rated well on the Good Guide. I have freckles and I also want to protect myself but as my skin is sensitive I need something that is light. A small amount goes a long way and I like that The Body Shop offers this is a travel-size option. This lotion has very slight undertones of floral scent but it’s very faint. I am not privy to heavy scents and this one is fine. Find it here or here.
Face moisturizer- Clinique Moisture Surge
A favorite of mine, this lotion/gel (how I’d describe the consistency) is a miracle worker. It hydrates and soothes all in one and for my whole face I barley use a dime size of it. Moisture Surge is oil and fragrance free and it feels so refreshing! Clinique is also allergy tested so I know it’s gentle. I use this either before or after makeup but I do let it dry if I’m to apply a bronzer on top. Works great as an after sun topical as well! Find it here or here.
Bronzer- Beautycounter Color Contour Matte Bronzer
Love this bronzer and if you missed why you can read about it here. To sum it all up, Beautycounter makes commitments against harsh chemicals and attempts to always use safe ingredients. This bronzer is a staple in my makeup bag as it has color and a bit of shine but no harshness. There are two shades that they offer- one darker than the other- and can be used on and off seasons as well. Find it here! If you need to find a consultant….look no further! Contact Amanda here!
Finishing Touches- Target’s Oil Absorbing Sheets
It’s no secret to anyone I know that I have a Target obsession! But I love these face sheets that take away excess oil in a flash. There are more popular brands that offer this same service, but these due to trick just fine. I keep some at home and some at the office as well for emergencies as needed! Find them here!
