Having a tough day? Tough week? Or a tough year? Let me tell you this. That is OK. It’s OK. I don’t care who you are or what your life entails- we all have these. Hopefully, we all just don’t have a bad day all together.
Cards, Candles, Books and Bags
Let me explain the post image. Why are all these random items in a photo you ask? Well, for sure I am a bit quirky so it could just be a weird idea from me. But, alas, that is not the case. These items are things that have been sent or given to me by some of my very best of friends. And they mean more than gold.
Days when I wasn’t having a stellar performance- these gifts reminded me of one of the true treasures in life and that is simple. GOOD FRIENDS. People that know you and love you (no matter what!) and will support you when you may not be able to support yourself. These people can be someone you talk to every hour or every month but they are there. They are there for the ups and downs and goods and bads of life. By no means do I equate love with “things”. You don’t have to buy items to buy my affection or friendship. However, these items metaphorically are love. They are support and they are friendship.
Small Circle
Remember when you were a teenager and had a gazillion friends? You also may have noticed at the same time that your parents had only a few? How lame you thought…they must be old and unpopular. They YOU grew up and realized why. Light bulb- some people have no place in your life! Also OK. But the true people stay with you and you stay with them. Even in the tough days, the tough weeks and even the tough years. Every once in a while send a little something. Your friends may just need it. I know I did. Thank you to all my great friends that are represented here and all my small circle that keeps me sane. You are appreciated more than you know!
