Make new friends, but keep the old- one is silver and the other’s gold. This saying has always stuck with me throughout time-ever since I sang it in rounds in Girl Scouts. As I progress through this thing called life- I have treasured this sentiment and thus my friends old and new.
There is nothing like keeping your friends from childhood am I right? Well, of course I am. However, this post isn’t necessarily about friendship (although I cannot mask my obvious affection). This post is about something just as good—chocolate, peanut butter and delicious raspberries. Let me explain.
A dear friend named Liz has been by my side for many years. Through school, and Maine trips and Billy Joel listening marathons, Liz is a treasured companion. Many good memories contain Liz in them and now she is creating some other memories of her own- in the form of gorgeous and delicious recipes. She has an ultra-successful food blog called The Floating Kitchen and I cannot say enough good things about this gem. Her content is flawless and her beautiful photography is darn near sublime (note- the photo in the post is from Liz’s blog of course).
Allow me share to share this with you just in case you haven’t had the pleasure. Here is a fantastic recipe that’s perfect for the Pink Month theme; and February in general! We all need these brownies in our lives! Chocolate…peanut butter and raspberries…sign me up! It’s the perfect combination that will last throughout time- just like a good friend! Please visit her page and show her some much deserved love and appreciation (not to mention reading about her and her love of cooking)! And, obviously, perform this recipe ASAP!
Liz, hope to see you very soon!
