You know those days?  One of those days?  The one where you slept well and woke with energy? And the weather was perfect and your child was full of smiles with a unimaginable mix of relaxation?  Then, you drove to the store and no one was there (score) so you cruised through the line like a boss only to be tickled pink that the cashier was sweeter than pie? To top it off- you got to listen to your favorite music with the sunroof open? Heck yes- your voice was just like the singer’s too!

Well, maybe that happens to you and maybe you just wish it did- or maybe this isn’t your perfect day (or at least the start of it). However,  I am pretty sure everyone has at least a version of this. I love this day.  I love this feeling.  And I want it all the time.

But how to get it?  Well, besides the stars aligning or me winning the lottery and hiring lots and lots of help, I had to realize something.  Or at least start to.

Choose happiness and choose good choices. Read that last sentence again and then say it three times fast! And what helped me get there?  Ding, ding, ding….the book of the month.

GIRL, WASH YOUR FACE

My favorite online presence (I cannot just call her a blogger, or an author, or a kick-butt motivator because she is all of these and so much more) is named Rachel Hollis.  She’s my jam!  I know that’s not really the right way to describe her but it’s how I feel.  I honestly believe that she “gets” me and I won’t lie- I want to be her when I grow up (note:  I am already older than her).  I have mentioned (ok, well gushed about her)  Rachel previously on the blog, but this new book of her deserves an updated and also a solo post.

Without ruining anything, here’s the deetz.

Title: Girl, Wash Your Face

Author: Rachel Hollis

What it’s about: Motivation, confidence, letting go, finding you, taking risks, gaining confidence. Rachel guides you through her own journey so you can discover yours.  That is the best way I can describe it. Here are all the other ways people have reviewed it (click here).  There are a gazillion because she has so many fans and followers.  And that’s because she’s the bees knees. Read this book and go and get that perfect day, perfect week, perfect life.  Not perfect to everyone else’s standards but to your own standards.
